The saga continues.... It is funny how life is and people think etc. We had exactly a fire place with stones like that in our corner. Guess what?! We ripped the whole thing OUT and got a wood burning stove instead. Now I am wondering how long somebody built ours just for us to throw it out after 6 years!! But the woodburning stove can heat our whole upstairs, but the fire place was only for show and we couldn't find an insert for it. .... now, you have my story!!
gudl- That's funny. I guess we all like different things, and if you can heat your house better with a woodburning stove than that's more useful for you. We don't heat our house with this, but it does provide some extra warmth for that room when it's cold outside.
My honey continues his awesome work on our stone fireplace.
