Autumn Fun!
Tonight we gave in to Michael's pleas to carve pumpkins, and we let the boys carve their own. Dave has always carved them FOR the boys, but this year he said that it was time for them to do their own. This was very nerve wracking for me, watching them use sharp knives, and just praying they wouldn't chop any fingers or anything else off. My darling husband said, "Oh don't worry, I carved pumpkins every year when I was a kid and I always cut myself." Ahhhh! It's a good thing I have a husband here to help me teach my boys not to be such "pansies" . They had a fantastic time, and said it was much more fun to carve their own than to watch their dad do it.

I carved pumkins at school and I thought to myself 'Everyone carves a face on their pumpkin, I should carve something else.' So I carved a house instead. It came out pretty good and it actually wasn't that hard to do.
How creative, Allen! I'm assuming you didn't cut any fingers off in the process.
Yeah, all the teachers put on what you would call the "That's so wonderful" act. All I had to do to start the comation was go up to a teacher and say "I'm done". All I did was carve three sides (unless the roof counts as two), a window, a door, and a chimney. The only thing was you had to use logic inorder to keep the shape from caving in.
That all sounds fun. We decorated the classic pumpkin face cookies on Saturday night.
I forgot all about pumpkin cookies. they sound like fun.
Michael resembles his pumpkin.
We did pumpkin cookies already too! They don't last long around here.
I was gonna comment on the birthday post, but where'd it go? But I did see it and I thank you very much. In the picture of me and you, we look like "twins"!
I wasn't sure if I was out of place for leaving it because I didn't do the same for your brothers, so when I saw your mom's birthday entry for you, I deleted mine. I didn't think anyone had seen it. We do look quite a bit alike in those photos!
