Bike Ride

This evening after dinner the kids and I decided to take our 1st long bike ride of the season. It was such a beautiful day, with temperatures in the 80's. Aside from the fact that Michael's chain kept coming off we had a great time riding, and I feel well exercised for the day since after the ride I took a long walk with my hubby and our dog. Tomorrow will be much cooler with temps in the upper 50's or low 60's.
Does anyone know why a crabapple tree would begin to bud in the spring and then suddenly stop. We have 3 crabapple trees in our front island, 2 of them are covered with pink flowers and leaves now, but the one shown in the picture is sickly. ??

"Does ya gots grubs?" That is an Okie question. :o) Seriously though, check the soil for grubs or insects that could affect the roots. And call the county extension office. It has been my experience that these kind folks know the local flora and fawna better than anyone, and they are FREE!

Yesterday was beautiful. I can't wait for more summer-like days!

I wondered about grubs getting your tree too.

I called the Garden Factory and they said it's too early for grubs still, but they didn't really have an answer for me.
