Well, the kids have gotten on the bus and gone off to their 1st day of school. It seems strangely quiet around here. They were a little concerned about not having gotten their locker assignments in the mail, but I'm sure they'll find out that info. I miss them already... some of you might find this strange, but I feel like I need to get used to this again.

I agree with you. I think I have to get used to the whole idea of the kids being away from home all day every year when school starts. I hope they had a great day!
My son Cheney started yesterday and my son Davin started today.
I still have to deal with having them around all the time. Its not a bad thing, just different from most other moms. Part of me would love to have a quiet house all day long and part of me thinks it strange.
I'm mad that we have to start tomorrow.
I think it's good for them and they are very nice boys! The kids all had fun the other night!
yes!!!!!!!
i started sshool today!
I need to get used to it, too.
I have only my 'little daughter' still at home and I don't like it when she goes, and actually she would have rather stayed home, too! But I am not a home school mom, I am not patient enough!!
Years ago I found that by the time summer ended I was used to having a house full of children. I sent them back in September, got used to "slightly" quieter days only to find when they had a vacation, I had to get used to them being home all over again. But the toughest time was sending them back after homeschooling for three years. I needed some time to gather my mind (It had been scattered) and take a break from the teaching responsibilty. Imagine my chagrin when they came home at 3:30 with homework and they needed help! Why did they think I sent them to school? So they could bring it home again? (Okay, I'm done.)
I know I would miss them if they were gone all day every day. But I would like a day here and a day there! :)
PS I'm not patient enough to h'school either. Hahaha!
I'm not too sure many of us are.
