Many of you know that my brother Tim, who's 10 yrs. older than me, was brain damaged at birth when my mom was given too much of a medication and stopped breathing during labor. Today was the annual Christmas Party at the home he lives in, so I visited for a bit. (he lives about 45 minutes away from me) It's very difficult to communicate with him because he really doesn't respond at all, but it was nice to see him.

He looks healthy and happy. God has him in his hands. You are a good daughter and sister to go see him.
I'm sorry I had to miss it this year. My husband had taken me to Skaneatales to celebrate my birthday for the day.
He looks friendly.
What a nice picture of you two!!
I was sorry to miss it this year too. I think as long as Mom and Dad show up, he's happy, but Rachel, that does look like a reaction there.
How was Gary?

What a nice picture of you and your brother. I have heard a lot about Tim from Martha, but I don't think I had ever seen a picture of him. You are a good sister!
Gary was happy. He came up to me and asked me his usual questions, "Do you have a cat?", and "Do you smoke cigarettes?" When I asked him if it was okay if I took his picture he clapped, so I took that to mean it was just fine.
See picture of Gary above.
Was Lisa there too and did Dad play his banjo? Oh, I should have gone anyway!
Yes and yes. I have pictures of that too. Lisa specifically asked me to take her picture and then asked that I send it to her mother.
Oh, it really sounds like your visit is a joy to a lot of the residents. Not just your brother. It's nice to see a picture of your brother.
