Watkins Glen

These are pictures from our camping trip to Watkins Glen this weekend. The millipedes were all over the edges of the gorge in some areas...very strange, so I had to get a picture. The gorge is absolutely beautiful! We also took the kids to the campground pool (which was closed on Friday because someone threw up in it...yuck!) Going out for ice cream is a must when we go camping in the Glen, Mmmmm! The only bad thing about camping at Watkins Glen is that it is daddy long legs central! They are everywhere! I had one crawl across my closed eyes as I was trying to fall asleep last night. I swatted it away and then turned on the flashlight to see one of it's legs detached and twitching on Dave's pillow.
It was lots of fun hanging with our friends! Funny thing is, is that Priscilla was there on Friday too and we had no idea each other was there.

Very fun, and no sunburns. All of the tarps are very worth it too. Every time we camp it rains. It rained both nights while we slept.

We saw those milipedes too. There were hundreds of them near one particular waterfall. Eeeew! Did you go to "Great Escape" for ice cream? It's the best.

Alright, now I need to take a daytrip to one of the falls. Anyone for taking a trip to Ithica?

Priscilla- I don't remember what the name of the ice cream place that we went to was. It was on the right side of the main rd that takes you into Watkins Glen, just past the entrance to the campground.

Looks like fun- except for the bugs. I can't believe your sister was there and neither of you knew.

Sounds like you've been having a good summer.
I can almost smell the campfire. That is the campfire I smell isn't it, not supper getting a little well done! *wink*
Looks like a relaxing place to camp.

We almost went to go swim in the park pool. It's a good thing we didn't bother!
