Yesterday Martha and I went to Chimney Bluffs with the kids for a hike. It was the perfect day for it....refreshingly cooler than normal so we didn't get too hot. As you can see Martha is a very good climber, however coming down was a different story. We had such a great day together. Hopefully she doesn't have too many bruises. Lol!

Great candid shots! Glad you had a great day together before school starts.
I look like a jack-o-lantern sliding down that slope. How can I lose twenty pounds before October? I don't want to turn into a pumpkin!
It was a fun day and the pictures are fun too. I was doing fine easing my way down that hill until I heard the branch start to snap... and hey, Alysa went down on her butt too.
You do not look like a "jack-o-lantern"! I wish there was an easy way to lose weight, but food tastes way too good. I don't remember thinking about eating so much when I was a kid...maybe it's because I try not to think about it. Lol!
Yeah you're right, Alysa did go down on her butt...a lot.
I love these pictures! They made me giggle... I would've laughed out loud, but Adam is sleeping. I should be sleeping too, but instead I am wide awake.
I'm glad you had fun!
I was just there last weekend...and I hate to inform you that there is an easier way. If you walk a little farther down past the guardrail...there is a much less steep place to walk down.
:)
Priscilla- I know exactly where you're talking about. We hiked through the woods though for quite a ways and then came down. It really wasn't bad, Martha was just getting silly. Her ankle was starting to hurt which might have made her a little unsteady.
These photos are priceless!!
Those are hysterical. What a ham!
Priscilla, I wasn't going down I was climbing back up (to get the camera). We went down "a little farther down past the guardrail".
(with the tree I was going down...)
:)
And where you are flat on your back you were coming down. That was right after the tree incident.
Hahaha! Too funny!!
Reminds me of when Martha and I went hiking last summer.... She took me on all kinds of STEEP trails and what-not. YIKES! Going up was much easier than going down - especially sporting my camera which I'm way over protrective of. She was always laughing at me and thought it quite funny!
Oh how funny! Looks like you had a good time. I love to goof around with my siblings too. Isn't that the best?
