All night long the wind has been howling. This morning when the boys were getting ready for school, a huge gust moved our picnic table and chairs over, slamming it into our grill and breaking a piece off it (the grill). This is a heavy table with a thick glass top! Dave has to go to Buffalo today. I hope he doesn't blow off the road!

Good thing everything is still on the deck! Why don'tcha blow on over for a visit?
Our schools were delayed for 2 hours because of high winds. I'm glad your table didn't blow over and the top break. That is what happened to our friends table on a windy day during the summer.
Now that is a strong gust!! How high were the winds? Dave, now is the time to have lead in your pants!
Well, duh! Thats why you have a weather forcast! 34 sustained and gusts of 85mph!
A good day to stay inside for sure! But, I hafta take Heather to the doctor's....
Hope Uncle Dave didn't blow away!
Wow. That is quite the gust of wind. Was there any other damage?
1) Bethany
2) gmj
Now you have joined Bethany on "the list", gmj!!!! Anyone else?!!!!!!!
That sounds scary. That is the same MPH the wind gusts were at the coast when Denis and I were there.
When do I get to meet my new cousin?
I'm very nervous to leave a comment on your blog now, Rachel, because I am worried I will get put on Dave's "list". I do hope he didn't blow away and you got him back safe and sound.
I heard the Throughway was closed betw. Roch and Buffalo. ...
Gmj- It was, Dave had to come home the slow way. One of my patients was stuck on the thruway for 6 hours though...just sitting in his car. Dave was very fortunate that he got on the thruway early enough in the morning to get off.
Heather- You're funny! Only those who tease Dave get put on the "list".
Sherman- Come on over!
Oops, I meant to write Gudl up above, not gmj. (when I was talking about the thruway)
